Practice Experience

Andre Egle is an attorney in Bullivant Houser's Insurance Coverage Practice Group. Andre has more than 15 years of experience as a commercial litigator and insurance coverage attorney. Throughout his litigation career, he has prosecuted and defended complex state and federal court civil actions involving claims for breach of sophisticated commercial contracts and real estate agreements; various business torts; insurance coverage and bad faith; unlawful employment practices; misappropriation of trade secrets; legal, accounting, and medical malpractice; violation of federal antitrust statutes and Washington's Consumer Protection Act; trademark and copyright infringement; premises liability; and personal injury. Andre has also represented clients in insurance coverage disputes pending before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and the Court of Appeals of Washington.

Before entering the private practice of law, Andre served as a Judicial Law Clerk to the Honorable John C. Coughenour, a United States District Judge for the Western District of Washington.

Andre received his J.D. from the University of Washington School of Law where he graduated with High Honors. During law school, Andre served as Articles Editor on Washington Law Review and participated in several regional mock trial competitions as a member of the UW Law School's Moot Court Honor Board.

Outside the Firm

In his free time, Andre enjoys reading and various types of outdoor activities. Andre is particularly fond of golfing, bicycling, and playing tennis with his minor son, who has been a winner and runner up of many local youth tennis tournaments. In addition, during the 2013 and 2014 academic years, Andre served as one of the coaches and consultants of the Kirkland International Community School's mock trial team, where Andre's then teenage daughter -- and now a student of the University of Pennsylvania Law School -- learned the basics of trial advocacy and received the Best Attorney award for her performance in the 2014 state competition.
