Represented eight major retailers and restaurants in nationwide consumer class actions. Plaintiffs sought significant statutory damages for alleged violations of the so-called "receipt truncation" provision of the Fair and Accurate Credit Transactions Act of 2003 amendments to the Fair Credit Reporting Act. All matters were successfully resolved without any statutory damages paid by clients.
