BULLIVANT PROSECUTES PATENTS
Carl Schwedler, formerly of the Sacramento law firm of McDonough, Holland & Allen and in-house general counsel with Calgene LLC, joins Bullivant with his patent prosecution practice. He counsels clients on the preparation and prosecution of patent applications, development of patent portfolios, patent litigation, patent interference, and oversight of European patents and oppositions. Carl has served as patent counsel to various biopharmaceutical and gene discovery technologies.

IP LITIGATOR JOINS BULLIVANT
Laura Taylor, an experienced IP litigator, joins Bullivant. Laura specializes in trademark, trade secret, and copyright litigation, and has represented clients across a broad range of industries. In addition to litigating intellectual property disputes in state and federal courts, she has experience practicing before the Trademark Trial and Appeals Board of the United States Patent and Trademark Office. Laura is an active member of the North America Subcommittee of International Trademark Association's Anti-Counterfeiting & Enforcement Committee.
