Jess Millikan is a shareholder and Chair of the Insurance Industry Services Group at Bullivant Houser Bailey PC, a West Coast law firm with offices in Washington, Oregon, California, and Nevada. She has more than 25 years of experience providing legal representation, coverage advice, and policy-drafting assistance to marine insurers. Among other professional honors, she has been selected as a Northern California Super Lawyer several times, most recently in 2008. In this webinar, she will discuss the significance of federal admiralty law with particular reference to the United States Supreme Court's recent decision in the Exxon Valdez litigation. Jess will explain differences between federal and state law, and will provide specific practical recommendations for maximizing an insurer's ability to invoke federal law. A live question and answer session will follow the presentation. Attendees will receive a handout copy of the presentation prior to the webinar.
