European Lawyers Network
We are affiliate members of a European Economic Interest Grouping called the European Lawyers Network ("ELN"), registered in the United Kingdom. The ELN was established by lawyers located in different countries to cooperate with each other in providing legal services in Europe and elsewhere for clients needing advice and assistance in their international activities. The ELN signifies a close association of independent but like-minded firms of lawyers throughout Europe and the United States. Through the ELN, clients of any of the member firms have immediate and easy access to the others.
What is a European Economic Interest Grouping?
The regulation creating a European Economic Interest Grouping ("EEIG") provides for a community-wide form of cooperation between businesses in different member states of the European Union while allowing them to remain legally and financially independent of each other. Thus, the EEIG is a legal concept common to the member states of the European Union and is directly incorporated into Community law aimed specifically at transnational cooperation.
What can the European Lawyers Network offer?
The contacts between the members of the ELN are personal and have already proved valuable to the clients of the firms. Each firm has a fast-growing number of foreign and domestic clients with interests abroad. Through the ELN, clients are offered prompt service and efficient, expert and personal legal representation by member firms who have a significant degree of mutual trust in each other.
What links does the European Lawyers Network have elsewhere in the world? The ELN has established considerable international capability. It is able to recommend, where necessary, selected lawyers throughout the world with the confidence that those lawyers will give practical and commercial advice to clients who would otherwise be faced with seeking legal representation in an environment with different systems of law, languages and business customs.
Who are the members of the European Lawyers Network?
The members of the ELN are small or medium-sized firms that have chosen not to become substantially larger in size in order to safeguard and ensure the personal and individual service that they offer. Clients of the ELN members who are introduced to another member will know that their work will be efficiently handled by a lawyer who will remain personally involved in the matter throughout the process. Clients will also know that the member firm will be able to provide a competent and commercial overview of the clients' legal problems and transactions.
