Practice Experience

Jamie Pfeiffer joined Bullivant Houser Bailey in 2011 as an associate in the firm's Commercial Litigation Group. Her practice focuses on employment law, including providing counseling on employment issues, training, drafting and revising employee handbooks, negotiating and managing terminations and severance agreements, and advising on other day-to-day concerns in addition to all aspects of dispute resolution and litigation. Jamie's recent trial practice includes a second chair assignment in a five-day wrongful termination and battery jury trial in Multnomah County. She previously practiced in Chicago, Illinois, handling general commercial litigation, uninsured/underinsured insurance defense and plaintiff personal injury cases in both federal and state courts and alternative dispute resolution programs, and was a student-licensed intern at in the Felony Trial Court Division of the Cook County, Illinois State's Attorney's Office.

Jamie earned her J.D. cum laude from the DePaul University School of Law, where she was Managing Business Editor for the DePaul Business & Commercial Law Journal, and her Bachelor's degree in Theater cum laude from Bowling Green State University. Jamie is a member of the Young Lawyers Section of the Multnomah Bar Association and serves on the CLE planning committee. She is also a member of Oregon Women Lawyers and the Oregon State Bar's legal heritage committee, and volunteers for community outreach events through the Oregon State Bar and Multnomah Bar Association.
