Bullivant Houser Bailey PC, a leading West Coast business and complex litigation law firm, is pleased to announce that Jeanne Loftis has been admitted to the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA). Loftis joins two other Bullivant Houser Bailey attorneys who are already members of ABOTA: Douglas Houser and Richard Whittemore.
"Bullivant has a great tradition of highly skilled litigators, and Jeanne's admission to ABOTA highlights our continued commitment to trial practice," said firm president Beth Skillern. "Jeanne has been very committed to client work and advancing the legal profession, and it's fantastic to see her achievements rewarded in both areas."
The American Board of Trial Advocates is an invitation-only membership organization comprising plaintiffs' and defense attorneys as well as judges. The organization is focused on preserving the right to fair trials by jury in civil matters, and to advancing the highest professional and ethical standards in the legal profession.
Loftis is chair of Bullivant Houser Bailey PC's Casualty Litigation practice. She has tried more than 30 cases to verdict as First Chair attorney. She represents companies in the Pacific Northwest in a wide variety of commercial and casualty cases, with an emphasis on asbestos product liability claims and other mass tort litigation. Loftis has represented businesses in many sectors, including construction, manufacturing, retail, food service, publishing and professional services. Her cases have involved product liability, insurance coverage, premises liability, enforcement of non-competition agreements, construction injury and defect, investor mismanagement and fraud, environmental cleanup, and high exposure vehicular casualty cases.
