Practice Experience

Matthew Kaufmann is an attorney in the firm's Casualty Law Group. His practice focuses on defending businesses and individuals in a wide variety of tort litigation, from premises liability to catastrophic injury to product liability, with a strong emphasis on trucking and commercial transportation cases. Matt's practice has focused on the defense of owners and operators of commercial motor vehicles, including school buses and semi-trucks.

This provides him a solid understanding of the legal framework in which these companies operate, and the common issues that arise with them during litigation. Additionally, Matt has developed a particular interest in medical causation issues, which has led him to being particularly proficient at discussing medical issues with experts and deposing care providers.
