Chalisa Sims is an Associate in Bullivant’s insurance group. She has experience with complex litigation, including motion practice, briefing, discovery review and production, drafting coverage opinions and reservation of rights letters, and trial and arbitration preparation. Chalisa has worked on behalf of global insurers and re-insurers to combat future coverage issues and develop strategies for how to conquer them head on. While pursuing her J.D., Chalisa served as a Law Clerk with the Wisconsin Department of Revenue and worked with the Wisconsin Policy Forum as the Todd A. Berry Fellow focusing public policy research.

Chalisa is a coverage and litigation attorney with prior experience in an insurance law firm representing policyholders, giving her a broader perspective on complex legal issues. Her work on large, nationwide coverage matters and litigation has honed her ability to develop creative solutions for difficult problems.

When not working Chalisa loves to wander around the city. Whether it’s a casual hike, a new restaurant, or checking the vibes at a cute coffee shop, Chalisa enjoys searching for her next place of enjoyment.
