Litigation Legal Assistant

JOB DESCRIPTION

Bullivant Houser’s Portland office has an opening for an experienced litigation legal assistant for our Portland office.  The ideal candidate must have a minimum of five years of civil litigation experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities include providing support to your assigned attorneys as well as being a teammate to support the overall needs of the firm.  This position requires exceptional legal secretarial skills, proficiency with Oregon state, Washington state, and federal court rules/procedures, electronic court filings, and docketing/calendaring rules.

Candidates must possess a high level of organizational skills, attention to detail, follow-through, and strong oral and written communication skills.  Exceptional client service orientation, sound judgment, reliability, problem-solving skills, and the ability to remain focused in the midst of dueling priorities are necessary for the position.  Strong computer skills and experience functioning in a highly technological and computer-savvy environment are also essential.  Proficient with Microsoft Outlook and Word, and NetDocs a plus.  We are seeking someone who enjoys playing a vital role in a busy team-oriented environment.  Working with us means that you will enjoy a respectful environment that celebrates diverse backgrounds and experiences.  We strongly believe our commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion strengthens our ability to serve our clients, enhances our culture, and supports the communities in which we live and work.
