Makenzie Kaiser is an associate in the firm’s Casualty Law Group with experience in motion, discovery, and briefing practice in both state and federal court. Makenzie’s experience includes work on employment and civil rights disputes, as well as advising clients on BOLI proceedings and mediation.

Makenzie received her Juris Doctor from the University of Oregon School of Law. During law school, she served as a Board Member of the Oregon Law Students Public Interest Fund, Board Treasurer of OUTLaws, and Executive Board Member of the National Lawyers Guild. Additionally, she volunteered with RAICES and Al Otro Lado as an advocate for undocumented asylum seekers and detained migrants. Makenzie has a passion for civil rights and social justice and considers herself lucky to have spent two summers clerking for the Civil Liberties Defense Center in Eugene before starting her career.

Before becoming an attorney, Makenzie spent more than 10 years in management, customer service, and the natural food industry. She draws on her experience managing people to represent clients with integrity and respect.

Makenzie enjoys cooking and gardening, spending time outside with her puppy and with her family.
