Caitlyn Mathews is a civil litigator who defends clients in complex litigation matters involving claims of sports injury, professional liability, breach of contract, negligence, as well as insurance coverage disputes. Caitlyn’s experience in professional sports prior to becoming an attorney also allows her to better advise her clients when developing various athletic policies and practices. Caitlyn has a keen interest in defending organizations and individuals through every stage of litigation, at the state and federal court level.
Caitlyn graduated with a B.S. in International Studies and Political Science from the University of Oregon. She spent two years working for the non-profit arm of a local, professional sports team before attending law school. Caitlyn graduated with her J.D. from Seattle University School of Law. While in law school, Caitlyn served as Chairwoman of Moot Court Board as well as serving as an Associate Editor on Law Review. Throughout her time at Seattle University, she gained experience through externships at the Seattle Sounders, the Washington State Supreme Court, and the King County Superior Court.
